Photography has always been a part of my family. Growing up my father was always taking pictures of everyone and from him my love grew.
I love film. There's just something about it that fascinates me...the touch of the negatives, the developing process, pulling out a box of old faded pictures and remembering when.
I feel that pictures should not always be staged. The true moments tht need to be captured are those that are the candid moments that you always remember and bring back memories of a another time or of another place. I use both a Canon and for those rare moments a Rolliecord. But let's be honest here...I just bought my first digital camera and I am in love with it now! It won't change how I feel about film but the confidence that it has bought to my work is so much greater now and truly inspiring.
I've finally accomplished one of my goals and I own my own studio. It's not huge and by no means fancy but I can call it my own. I travel as needed and there's not much I won't take pictures of.
My main interests has been portraits and weddings. But I've stepped out of the box and am venturing into different venues and loving every minute of it. Right now there's nothing that I won't photograph. Within reason of course but the sky is the limit.
I'm located in Western KY (Purchase area/Graves County) but I will travel just about anywhere as needed.
